What do you need to start up pattern-making?

You’ll have to stock up with literature, drafts and tools and arm yourself with patience. But experience is a must. In order to make more or less passable models you’ll have to assemble about 50 patterns of different levels of complexity. Be ready to the fact that any expert will reveal his real secrets to you. Speaking about the most difficult part from the technical point of view, for sure, it is painting with an air-brush.

You’ll need an equipped place, inaccessible for children and animals. You should know that painting one pattern can last for 6-8 hours. You’ll have to spend all this time in respirator, if only you don’t decide for industrial air funnel in your workshop.

Thus it is up to you – either to set down to modelling or to place an order for a pattern.
